When I went for a Prius test drive, it took me all about 1.35 minutes to figure out how to start the car and move it forward and backward. And mind you, if there is a bell curve of driver skill with good on the right and poor on the left, I am solidly on the left side of the bell curve. My question to NYT is: why send someone who doesn't know how to drive to write on her/his experience of Prius? In January 2008, after Prius has been out in the market place for 3+ years.
